Moebius Marmi

During my internship at Estudio Cerisola I had the pleasure of taking part, among others, in the Moebius Marmi
project. This involved the design of a piece of furniture made of marble for the client Silvestri Marmi, an
Italian company specialized in the trade of this material. The coffee table was exhibited at Salone Internazionale
del Mobile 2022, in Milan.
The geometry of the base of this table was incredible and consisted of the repetition of the same piece to generate
the amazing shapes that can be seen in the images. It was really interesting to participate in the experimentation
of the idea, where the main piece was modified in form and quantity to determine the best representation of that idea.
Once all the possibilities had been studied and the final geometry had been selected, I proceeded to prototipe the product
by repeatedly generating the main part with the 3D printer, creating a joint system that could help visualize
the project physically. I was also in charge of making the renders of the piece to show the project to the
client before it was manufactured.
The final product was manufactured using numerical control machines outside of Spain. It was extremely exciting and
inspiring to be able to observe the performance of this machinery, even if it were through videos and photographs,
and to see the project come to life.
